Fuzzyfireball: I don't pay out the ass for Steam, most games I get are under $10. Steam has some of the best sales out there.
Still, I wish they would up the quality control.
orcishgamer: There was a time when bargain bins were full of games for 5 dollars and under. I don't consider 10 dollar "deals" to be that much of a bargain on old PC games. In years gone by only the best PC games maintained an even 20 dollar price point after 18 months.Still, I wish they would up the quality control.
Adokat: Yes, yes, it's just terrible that Steam has no offline mode, and it's such a good thing that people keep spreading the word that no such feature exists. Thank you so much.
orcishgamer: Umm, offline mode can randomly demand you connect, ask anyone on a military base and they'll tell you Steam's offline mode is balls. And your ragging on Steam sales is laughable. You really never miss an excuse to bash them, do you?
I've bought Deus Ex and KoTOR for 2 bucks, and they're normally, what, 10 dollars? If they ever came out on GoG, that's the same price they'd charge. You're criticizing a service that typically has prices just as low, and often lower, than anywhere else. Seems typically inconsistent to me.
