well you'd have to get 1500 points since the concept of selling in the amounts they use seems to be offensive to microsoft and that would end up being au$24.75 so I guess it'd be somewhere around $21-22. Not really that much different but damnit our number is the highest!

even, Google's currency converter may be slightly off, too.
Wonder what the price in the US is, 800 points sounds like a pretty far step the ~1200 we're seeing, their points can't be that much more expensive than our, can they?

michaelleung: How does this chapter thing work? Fable 2 is a very open ended, free roaming type of game, yes?

phanboy4: No.
And still no PC port.

Yeah, Fable 2, Halo 3 and Gears of War 2 are taking a long time this go-round... one wonders if they are coming at all.
I played Fable 2 at a friend's house though and thought it was pretty meh, so I'm not super eager anyway.

Nope, a 1600 point card on amazon costs au$22.50 or so whereas our 1500 point card costs $25 so we're paying $2.50 extra for 100 less points and a FUCKING inconvenient amount
Also, the download has been sitting at 90% for... uh... about 10 hours now, I think (dunno when I went to bed after I checked it the last time, 80-90 would not have taken long if it was the same speed as before the 80% mark).
Edit: Ah, there. When the download is complete, the game needs to be quit and restarted to gain access to the new stuff.

soulgrindr: hey! Shareware is back!
I always loved shareware!

That's what I thought. They're touting it as a new thing when games like Doom did it, what, 15 or so years ago.
The main difference here is in the splitting of the rest into far more expensive nuggets. That's not exactly the kind of innovative I consider praiseworthy.
I really just want a PC port, as I don't own a Xbox 360.

Microsoft have this fantasy that everyone will buy a 360 eventually.

Well, their loss then.
