Any other forum dwellers playing EVE? I recently jumped back into it and was wondering if anybody else here was playing it. Been just doing missions for the last week or so while I build up my skills and cash for new ships/upgrades. Would be fun if there were people I actually knew from here playing it :P

I gave it up years ago. Takes too much time and not in the budget. I probably have enough isk to buy a plex code, but I don't feel like getting back into the mission grind just to save up for another plex code.

i am interested to see how dust fares with combining ps3 and pc players into a persistent world

EVE is SO INTERESTING, but I just can't take the plunge.

I'll wait for DUST 514 in the meantime.

I played EvE for a year when it first launched, then for damn near 4 years a little later on, and finally kicked the habit about 3 years ago.

It's the only MMO I've ever found compelling past a week, and I built up a lot of solid bonds with other players. I just love the game and often think about reviving my avatar and her multibillion ISK stockpile just to catch up with a few old friends I'm sure are still there and see how the latest upgrades to the game look.

I resist the urge because EvE really is a glorious time suck. Anything you hard that hard at should pay you, not the other way around. But I'm sure I'll fire it up again and check it out one day.

I'll be honest, I've avoided it, was afraid of what might happen. I didn't have time for WOW and certainly don't for EVE.

I was so cracked out on WOW early on that I had a level 59 Warlock rank 11 (yes, 3 ranks below the top) with an epic mount. That was my alt, and I spent that kind of time on him. Yeah, screw WOW (or me, however you want to see it). I'm avoiding EVE like the plague.

I do like DDO, I think I've spent maybe 12 hours this year on it.

It's neat to read about.

hello all im reaver894 and im an eve addict.

I quit EVE when the trillion ISK monocle hit, the change from "no MT's ever" to "buy our monocles!!!!1" in less than a year was the straw that broke the camels back for me...

hehe, sure but the amount will depend of my wallet status ;]
Don't tell me about the addiction... im trying to break the cycle: sub, unsub, sub again.... and so xD

I want this thread to be resurrected, after all it was the GOG community which got me into the game in the first place.

So while I haven't been playing for 5 years or anything like some (lol) I'm still interested in who in the community is actually still playing (or interested in trying out) either EVE or Dust.

I'd be happy to answer questions (to the best of my knowledge) about either side of the game, and if you're not already in but want to try it out

I agree. The game itself seems a tad boring to me but Cracked had an article mentioning some enterprising players' exploits.

Number 7 and 1 mentions a couple things that have happened. Pretty cool stuff, honestly.

Never played it but held a 45 minute presentation on it... ended up with a very decent grade.
