Final Fantasy VII has become so hard to find to legally buy or download.
The only option is through Ebay, but prices are way too high. Moreover, i fear to stumble on a copy winxp(my OS)-incompatible.
I hope GOG.COM will soon add this fantastic rpg classic to his games catalogue.
Answer if you agree with me, and add suggestions on other classics you'd like to see disposable on this site.

(EDIT nvm first bit). GOG have defined price points, and they sold Thief within them, so I don't see why FF7 should be different.

Yes, but as far as I remember when people started complaining about steep prices for Hitman games everyone came to the conclusion that Square Enix was pushing GOG to sell those games for 10 USD.
Besides, FF is probably the biggest SqEnix franchise, I am not sure they are 100% ready to sell it DRM Free.
Also we heard there might be higher price tiers on GOG soon, I would not be surprised if SqEnix showed interest in those. ;)

It'll be cheaper to find it in a local game store. Usually a place like Slackers will have a copy for $25 on PS1

I saw a wrapped FFVII PS game in my local comic book store for $99. That was the original, not greatest hits. Still wayyy too pricey. Haven't seen a PC copy tho. Lucky I still have my copy of it I stole from my bro years ago.

FFVII isn't exactly that expensive or difficult to find. If you have PSN then you already can find it. I personally dislike the game and own it for PC, legally mind you. I doubt we will ever see a GOG release of it. If you want the game, as of this moment the best thing you can do is buy it on PSN or off of Ebay.

They have the other older ones too.

Not sure if it's available for other regions tho, but US it is.

A couple years ago, before the PSN release, the same game would've easily fetched $600.

And Squeenix owns Eidos now, why do you think they have the rights to Deus Ex, Thief and Hitman?

I suppose I'm not seeing the relevance of the information that the PC version was released by Eidos.

Final Fantasy, in my opinion, was indeed a terrible game. Although I can understand the graphics, the story, characters and the battle system were terrible. The controls were indeed annoying and the only reason why people love the game is because of the graphics of Dirge of Cerberus and think that all the others looked that way. Those individuals have never played the game itself
