32 years ago most games sold for a standard retail price of $50 USD

One such item was the highly awaited home version of Pac-Man (kinda like those who didn't mind pre-ordering CoD Ghosts for $70+ ).

For those who haven't bothered to see what a 'near-perfect' home versions of coin-op games looked like:

Had the system and the game, and it was a near perfect version of the arcade game. The Atari 2600 was my primary source for gaming as a kid after my C64, especially loved Defender

And then the absolute worst of Atari - ET. I spent some hard earned allowance on that game. Thankfully, I had Pac-Man, Pong, Pitfall, Asteroids, and Space Invaders.

I tried ET at a friends, and was thankful it was one that I didn't buy myself :)

NEVER played ET! I can still picture that lil' ET character in my head, I know the legend / flop that it was but to this day I have never seen it played aside from in a 5 second blurb, third party - never watched it in person and I lament that!

I DID however sink a bit of time into Pitfall and Space Invaders, with some multiplayer action in the form of Pong. I'd love to hand Pong to a child today and watch their face ;)

Believe it or not, some children know how to appreciate classic games more than actual grown up kids (AKA adults) ; )

Ohh, I have ET´s cartridge...........precioussssssss.

Though I think most of the Atari2600´s time was shared by Pac-Man, Pitfall, and Asteroid at home.
The mention of Pitfall made me remember there was a pc port of Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure. That was one of my favorite SNES games... is even a chance to have it on gog?

The rights seem to be with Activision, so that shouldn't be a problem.
The game has a few votes on the wishlist.
But I would guess that it isn't very high on GOG's priority list...
