Adventure hat--checked; helpful parrot--checked; ability to move and jump--checked; huge, open, pixelated world--checked. I think we’re ready for some serious adventure.

This particular adventure is serious business: years and years ago, an angry demon tried to destroy the world, but a brave wizard (presumably) shouted “You shall not progress!” and cast the beast away from the realm. The twelve items the wizard used to fight off the monster are out there somewhere, waiting for a hero to collect them and once again save the world from a new hellish threat. You’re just a small boy with an ability to WASD, or ←↑→↓, or move, jump, and crawl, and with a little help from a parrot you will become a hero.

Treasure Adventure Game is a open world platform adventure game with an endless (oh yes we’ve checked) supply of islands, treasures, secrets, quests, puzzles, and characters. It is mostly quest-based with the main story in the center and a few smaller tasks handed to you by NPCs in need of assistance. The graphics are a 2D pixelated wonder that you will fall in love with right from the beginning. The 100% retro graphics, superb soundtrack, and excellent gameplay combine to make this game a fantastic journey through a world in which you can find something new every time you get back to Treasure Adventure Game.

Explore, enjoy the story, talk to everyone, and push every rock and wall! Get lost in Treasure Adventure Game, that is available now on GOG.com, absolutely free.
Could not get the setup to actually save my changes on Windows 7 64, but after changing compatibility mode to Win 95 it worked with no problems; did not even have to run it with admin privileges. Did the same for the game's .exe just in case and I haven't experienced any issues with the game at all so far.
Happy birthday to me!
Thanks, this made my day!
I'm totally for free games, and Treasure thingy looks great, but as far as the name of this site is concerned... now it should be OIG, Obscure Indie Games.

Never heard of this one.

Thank you vety much! This is one of the main reasons I love gog and this is why I will continue to come here and buy games from you!
Thank you so much GOG, this looks like fun!
Are there any updates that are different from the version that's on Orlando's site already? I think it's a great game and awesome for GOG to promote it so it's easier for everyone to find but it seems like a strange thing to place in GOG's library.

Looks like it's all the same. I donwloaded the game straight from the developer's site as well to see if there were any differences and to see if the non-GOG version would run any different.
To anyone who has a problem saving/running in Windows Vista/7.

1) Run the game as an administrator.

If it doesnt work then:

2) Try installing it OUTSIDE your Program Files folder. Something like X:\Games\ or something like that.

3) Try disabling UAC in Vista/Win 7
sorry, pressed wrong button, this game does NOT crash under windows 7, runs perfectly for me, if the game crashes then blame it on your system NOT win 7
Thanks GoG! Haven't tried it yet but it looks pretty cool.
I got this to run very well on Win7 64bit. I have a rare crash here and there, but find the game really enjoyable. This game definity runs on Win7.
Free yes, but I bought it. It deserves it one hundred percent. <3
I think the game is quite fun, with one exception: I... Friggin'... HATE... Jumping... Puzzles!

I don't appreciate having to traverse the same 7 screens 8 times in a row because I didn't twitch at exactly the right nano-second, and ending up falling down quite a way back. There is some really annoying level design in places.
The game looks really fun, but it isn't working in Windows 7 for me. I have tried it as admin. Tried in XP.

The splash screen (pun intended, I guess -- as there's water on the "splash" screen) pops up and I can use the up and down arrow to highlight options "play, etc." but when I hit enter nothing happens. If I double click mouse, nothing happens. Only the up and down arrows work on the splash screen.

Any solutions?

It's a bit obscure and took me a while to figure it out when I played. You must use the attack (Z) or action (A) key to select menu items.
