Hey there guys! With the winter holidays only two months away, I plan to hold a games giveaway for the Good Old Games and STEAM community (inspired by member, SkyStrider's generosity :)

Firstly, I'd like a brainstorm a list of games that the community is interested in. Some of my favourite good old games are Beyond Good and Evil and The Longest Journey. Unfortunately, titles such as Age of Empires are not yet available on Good Old Games (hopefully, it'll be available in the future!)

Which games would you guys be interested in? Simply reply to this post with a list of games you want to play, and why. I'll then add the titles to the giveaway list.

In order to be eligible for the giveaway however, I simply request that you subscribe to my channel on YouTube. I've devoted a substantial amount of time into uploading cutscenes from games that I enjoy, and always appreciate comments and feedback from fellow gamers! I'd appreciate if I could earn a subscription from you guys!

How does it work?

1. There are currently 33 entries. After careful budget review, I can only choose 10 winners.

2. Each winner has a choice to pick between either a Good Old Game(s) or a STEAM game of their choice.

3. If a winner decides to choose a Good Old Game, they can PM me the title of a single game that's worth $10, or two games that are worth $5 each.

4. If they choose to go for a STEAM game, they can pick a title from this list:

As i understand your post, i'm to post from GOG's library and Steam library right?

so here goes:

Steam: Skyrim (what else? =P)
- Because i am in love with the Elder Scrolls - and i'm sure many others on the site are :)

GOG: Police Quest 1+2+3+4 pack
- Because i love police/detective games, and have always wanted to play the Police Quest series. :)

Thank you very much! I won't be entering since I don't use YouTube's social stuff, but here's my suggestion.

GOG: RollerCoaster Tycoon 2.
- Because it is one of the best business management games ever made.

Steam: Skyrim.
- Because it will be a great RPG, assuming they implement the best of Oblivion, Morrowing, Fallout 3 and New Vegas.

Sonic Generations - actually looks promising for a change
Saints Row: the Third - because I love the way SR2 plays and feels, hopefully they'll keep it going with the third game.
Batman: Arkham City - Arkham Asylum was a great game and I've only heard positive things about City

GOG:
Planescape Torment - I have to be the only person without the game going by the forums, must remedy that situation :P
Little Big Adventure - Again, so much hype and I never had a chance to play it when it came out.

If we're only supposed to suggest one from each, I'll edit my post to reflect that.

I don't know how many games you plan to give away, but why don't you just let the winners choose what game they want (for the given price)? Sure, it's a little more complicated, but that way everyone would be pleased.

I would like to have Megarace 1 + 2.

The reason is because of nostalgia. From the screenshot i had nagging feeling that the game kinda familiar somewhere during my childhood. Few days later i remember saw my uncle play Megarace 2 in 1997 or 1998 but i never had the chance to try that game; again due to my low specs PC back then.

One suggestion is letting pepole pick a 6 or ten dollor item off steam or gog.

the second suggestion i have is for the games given away and the ones you may take into consideration.
tropico 4 may be a wise choice or vampire the masscurade for something on steam.
for something on gog i think someone would like ether the ultima series or one of the dungen keeper games

so why 2 months in between? we sign up now and then in december we gonna forget to send a pm. cant we just send one now and you just sign it up on a list?

I think you should create a Google Docs Form to keep note of which games were voted and who are participating. I've never created one myself, but perhaps you will find it handy in this case!

Thanks for your input, lugum. I'm just starting the planning process from now until early December, and hold the giveaway afterwards. I still have to decide the # of games for the giveaway, and the budget.
