It looks like a suicide bomber vest with all those wires.
That said a company (can't remember it off the top of my head, but a Google search will probably find it) makes gaming vests. They don't "shock" you like they imply but rather nudge you when stuff happens.

I've seen that too, so this is not a new idea. I've even seen a force feedback helmet at one point.

The hell? If you watch the YouTube video on the UPenn link and you pause the video at exactly 0:13 the computer screen shows the TN Games logo as well as the 3RD SPACE name in the middle. Eh?

Exactly. I like videogames, but I'm not sure I really want "the illusion that my skin is burning." I mean, I get shot A LOT in FPS games. That's what shields and health packs are for. This just seems so unpleasent to me.

Hmmm... It's interesting. I don't know if this would be appealing to mainstream gamers, but for hardcore simulators it'd be pretty neat. Heck, this thing would be incredibly handy for any future professional soldiers/drivers/pilots/others who have to play simulator games as part of their training.

Heh I played with one of those at PAX (As well as the Peregrine...stupid powerglove 2.0 :| )
It was actually pretty cool and responsive. It easily lets you know WHERE theyre at because you can feel it... and no it doesn't hurt, it's just a little thump. I took falling damage and died and it was a much bigger thump all over. It was fun and it worked...just it wasnt worth it.

Oh wow, they've finally come up with something more annoying than the Red Screen of Almost Dead.

This..........first thing that came to my mind was military training. Used to they used lasers that when fire at a vest loaded with sensors would make beeping noise that' you're dead. Now instead of beeping you get hit, then maybe a beep for confirmation.
