I'm impressed not only by the selection and devotion of this site to fair sales and easy access but also by the uniqueness and atmosphere it provides. This is the type of place where one can spend $50 and be busy for two years.

Does not have to be grandmaster site...but reasonably good site!-GK

Keep it up, there are those of us that appreciate it!
I have too say that I completely agree with this statement. That and the fact that the people who own/run this site/company actually genuinely care about their customers. Unlike many other companies today that just pretend too at best

It's just one of many reasons for myself personally that I buy games here (some of which I had already owned in retail disc form from the past) and keep buying others as time and funds permit:) As I like supporting a good company like this that provides a good product/service/etc. and doesn't give into the negative things like DRM.

I should add to that while keeping it short that old school copy protection (that's what DRM used to be called for the younger ones on here that don't know;) like cd checks (need the disc in the drive) and cd-keys I never had an issue with. Only the bad type DRM from recent times.

Anyway, keep on the track you're on right now GOG and keep the positive waves going. Don't ever let the negative waves come out;)

Welcome to GOG :) While you're here, be sure to buy Sacrifice, which is currently on sale for just 4.99$. It's one of the best games ever made, but one of the least known as well, unfortunately...
I have to say that it's pretty amazing that when you buy a game here, depending on the genre, you will get many, many hours out of it

Let's take for example this pack:

HOMMIII
BLOOD
POD
DARKLANDS

This pack that's in total 14 Dollars right now can easily provide you with a Month's worth of gaming

Just a month?!?!?! I've been playing HOMM III for over a decade and I'm still not bored :P
Hunt for reputation?

Very good if you like the service, the people in forums etc. etc., but I guess the best thing you can do to show your gratitude is to buy as many games as you can, in the minimum amount of time. :)

Here we have a saying "Ei kissa kiitoksella elä", loosely translated "A cat doesn't survive with (mere) praise."

Sorry if I don't throw around positive (nor negative) rep points like candy, I'm afraid someone might use it for ill purposes e.g. in game trading.
Another nice bonus here are the game icons. Don't laugh. A lot of the older titles were never shortcut friendly and you ended up with a stupid picture of a monitor or something for your Duke icon. I realize this is ultimatly about as important the evolution of navel lint, but still, it's a nice touch.

Oh, and thanks to everyone who recommended Blood. It possesses all of the serenity, beauty, and wholesome family value oriented content I look for in a game. THUMBS UP!!!

On the topic of navel lint.
I started developing this during the past 6 months. It's a new phenomenon to me, but I have this suspicion it has something to do with gaining a little weight.

Any tips? =)

(FYI: sorry to derail this thread).

Nevermind, nice to see they made Sacrifice compatible with Windows 7.
