I just got it. Thanks for the info!
I bought it a while ago. It's a fun little game. I advise you check out his later projects in the Blackwell series. Those are pretty good.
Hmmm... A free adventure game? Well, why not?
Coincidentally, I'm studying Judaism at the moment.
I got it for... no reason what so ever than it was free.
Thanks. Got it. :)
Downloaded, thanks for the heads up.

I know, right?
Downloaded, thanks.
Let me know what you guys think when you play it. It's pretty short, but the combat system in place is very cool and reminds you of a certain pirate...
Thanks for sharing the info.

like, omg totally
Well, I've played through it (it's a short game), and I have to say, it's pretty good. It's a little different from other adventure games I've played in that you're mostly hunting for "clues," not items, and that means you never have to worry about hunting the pixel. The dialogue setup is nice too; I especially liked the "Rabbinic Response" option (which causes you to answer any and all questions with other questions) that gets put into every conversation.
The actual game is about the quest Rabbi Stone untertakes to find out why a former member of his congregation was murdered. The plot is interesting, for the most part, although it does have some holes as any noir story does. Actually, this is probably the only game I've played which could be classified as "Jewish Noir."
The only complaint I would level at it is that there are several one-shot tricks that you need to employ to advance the plot. Because they are "one-shot" tricks, you never use them after the first time and they are never hinted at beforehand.
The deal's still open until midnight tonight, so I'd recommend it to anyone who likes point-and-click mysteries.
