but can it make it?

It is going to be close...if they get out there and work at it they will make it. But they got to hit forums and get people to get there name out there a bit more.
The article on Gamespot must have helped some.
Maybe if the tiers weren't so f**king expensive (£20 = €30 = price of a brand new AAA game) I'd pledge but they're too greedy considering what they have so far.

Brand new AAA games games are €30? Maybe I should move to Europe.
For what it's worth, it's over 400 now.
But will The Ship: Full Steam Ahead make it is my question
Got linked on the latest Star Citizen update. Must have helped too.
I'm guessing this *is* a AAA game, judging by how much money they're looking for.
For me, the big problem with a post-Bullfrog game designed by Peter Molyneux is that it's a post-Bullfrog game designed by Peter Molyneux.

From what I've read, he's been humbled greatly from his experience with Curiosity, but I'll believe it when I see it. In fact, I'm surprised that more gamers haven't taken him to task over his habits of overpromising and underdelivering.
I posted some more info an hour ago in this post
http://www.gog.com/forum/general/what_kickstarter_projects_are_worth_taking_note_of/post2364 I quote myself here

"... If you are unsure about what Godus will be, just take a look at its KS page http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/22cans/project-godus

If you still doubt whether to pledge or not, take some time to read the last update of Star Citizen project by Chris Roberts http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cig/star-citizen/posts/371767) about the crowd-funding proces and the great work that Godus (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/22cans/project-godus) and Elite:Dangerous (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1461411552/elite-dangerous) teams are doing at this moment. ..."

Rampancy If you read the Chris Roberts post (or some of the videos/interviews that PM did) they explain more or less why it happened. Yes, I'm not sure that it will not happen again, but I think this is the project that deserves to be pledged and see if the 22Cans Team and PM can make a great game.

It totally looks like it's gonna make it. It needs less than 50,000 pounds and it still has 63 hours to go. Most Kickstarters make a whole bunch of money in the last 2 days. I've seen Kickstarters in worse shape make it past the deadline.

"AAA" is a tricky classification... "AAA" games get made for tens and tens of millions of dollars and then have whole other set of monies spent on marketing...

I'm not worried about the game not getting its funding; from the looks of things, it's in the clear in terms of meeting its target. I'm more worried about PM pulling what he did during Fable and promising "The Greatest Roleplaying Game of All Time".

Have 22cans finished that prototype yet? I think in one of the updates, Peter said they're working on a demo of the game to entice people into pledging.

I import them from the UK ;) they're €45-50 here. But considering that every other game I pledged on, asked for, at most $30 for a digital copy of the game (and often only $15), £20 is quite expensive.
