JoeSapphire: Woah Baz what was that about?
You appear to be confirming your township at a time when it wasn't quite appropriate for you to do so. ARGH QuadrAlien did exactly the same thing that one time! Is there any way that a mafia could know the wording of the win condition of the town? Mafia daytime win-condition cop isn't a thing is it?
You know, it never occurred to me to actually go and check my PM; it's just that this really is the standard way of doing things on this site.

Now that I did check my PM, yeah, it's pretty much exactly the default phrasing, and as such hardly usable to catch scum.

And now he's done it....

Rodzaju:
What a knob eh?

itai.sharim: OK then. I will claim although I believe it gains nothing to town.

I am Gilberto Roja, the car salesman - town vanilla.
At this moment, my only night ability, to serve as meat shield for mafia murders has been effectively stripped away.

Also, my win condition hints there are more than one anti-town faction.
What information were you trying to protect? You refused to "give up information to the mafia", yet your claim is Town Vanilla?

bazilisek: If it's one of those "you win when all anti-town factions are dead", that doesn't have to mean anything other than messing with your head. I used that in M5, and there was just town and mafia in that one.
I'd like verification that the victory condition is the hint of which itai.sharim spoke, or if there is in fact something more.

Me too - it might help explain the defence of nmillar...

(I'm working on getting my thoughts together, but am reluctant to interrupt with a wall of text at this stage...) ((Also, out of game: I apologise for game 8, orry. -_- ))

nmillar: What information were you trying to protect? You refused to "give up information to the mafia", yet your claim is Town Vanilla?
Meat shield for power roles against mafia night kills. After giving up this info, I believe I am not an attractive target, which means more chance to hit a town power role. Assuming I am now lynched of course...

@Orryyrro - I am not quite sure what you meant but the win condition is the hint I spoke of.

@ViolatorX - Am I allowed to quote the win condition?

itai.sharim: @Orryyrro - I am not quite sure what you meant but the win condition is the hint I spoke of.
I was asking if there was something somewhere else in your flavour text, since the victory condition tends to imply that their could be multiple anti-town factions even if there is only one, so that it doesn't give away anything about the setup.
@Orryyrro - Nothing of note in the flavor. Only that I want to rid of the scum so I could keep selling cars.

@NotFrenchYet - I just fine the argument against nmillar weak. I will keep questioning poor arguments, just as I questioned TwilightBard's at post #397.

I don't find poor arguments to be in favor of town. What I find weird is other players not publicly questioning poor arguments although they find them weak. baz has stated he found the case against me extremely weak but decided to stay out of it. I presume it is because everyone jumps at anyone who defends someone else. The only weapon the town have is words - if we don't use it, we lose and lynch badly.

p.s - at post #427, now should be read as not.
I think you don't understand. They were asking whether your impication there is more than one anti-town factions comes only from some generic sentence as baz posted or is there something more. Because if it is only such sentance it's usually used regarless number of enemies.
After baz's remark, it seems like a generic win condition.
To Answer that question, Some peoples wording will differ on the win condition.

A combination of deliberate as I feel its cheap to try and catch out on such a conditon, and whatever was in my head at the time.

Ah, ok. I was thinking that if you had some other hint about the factions, this might help explain why you were adament that the case against nmillar was flimsy.

Current reads:
MY BRAIN HURTS. D:

There's been so much intense discussion on three different subjects (Post 39, Rod & Baz (ohhhhhh dear...), Damnation vs itai.sharim (enough walls of text to build a house)) that I'm struggling to make sense of all the chains of posts. I'm preparing my take on it all, but I don't want to dump the cans right now because it'll distract us and spill worms all over the place...

@Itai: It looks like you're the one that got yourself into this mess... Responding point by point to Damnation's read on you (he said you were 'leaning mafia' - you weren't even one of his strong suspects) makes it look like you got spooked and decided to counter-attack.

After that every little thing you've said came under the microscope, and some of it does look kind of weird e.g.
- persistantly fighting the case on nmillar with "it's flawed reasoning" when actually your take on it is different to Damnation's ;
- OMGUS vote on Damn ;
- "Why is day 2 any better?" ;
- criticising for quoting half-sentences ;
- praising the benefits of full information one second then wondering if Rod should take his info "to the grave" the next...

A lot of this apparent evidence could simply be your playing style. But you've been pretty defensive, for no readily available reason, and there are contradictions left right and centre.

Current more serious but extremely tentative reads:
Leaning scum: Joe, Vitek, itai, (the former two for casually dropping speculations)
Leaning town: rod, baz (I think that's too much of a coherant mess to be a mafia ploy - remember the scum haven't had time to discuss and work things out yet)
No clue: the rest of you :p
Had a family reunion. Sorry I haven't posted in awhile.

Anyway,

unvote

Itai is at L-1, yes? In light of recent developments, I want to make sure he doesn't get lynched before we've had a chance to think on this some more.

i believe he was at L-2, someone unvoted to prevent a quick lynch when he hit L-1.
