First I want to say what a great thing it is you are doing here at GOG. Keep up the good work.
As the company and site grows many changes are probably on the horizon. I have two suggestions that might help the site grow and sell more games.
1. Add a total number of times a game has been purchased to the game detail page. This would allow those viewing the page to see what are fan favorites. I know there are ratings, but a lot of times those are posted by customers who had a great or terrible experience, leaving those in the middle out. A total times downloaded number would enhance this.
2. Referrals of new customers obviously would greatly increase your sales. Why not offer a promotion where for each new customer a person refers to the site, a credit is applied to their account. For example: If customer A refers customer B and customer B buys their first game, customer A receives $5 (or tied to game purchase price) credit in their account. Which customer A can use to purchase a new game. These credits are only give on the first purchase of a referred customer. This kind of promotion would spread the word about the site and increase sales thereby helping you and in return helping your loyal customers with a portion of that initial sale.
These are just a few ideas, you may have thought about. Does anyone else have any site improvement ideas?
