GoG can take the most 'meh' games and make them look like ultimate must-haves with the feature box on the first page.

Everyone told me that Heroes III is better than IV but that colorful ad makes IV look so damn awesome!

Well, apart from bad AI and the being buggy/incomplete on release (because 3DO was bankrupting, so Heroes 4's development was rushed), the game got most flak for not being like Heroes 3. Nobody cared for the fact, that this is the first (and only) HEROES of MM game, the other being COMMANDERS of MM.

Of course, it has its fans and many great community made maps, but most people hated it (and hate until today).

I, for one, am enjoying it since I started playing it back then.

Heroes IV is not 'meh'. It's my second favourite of the series after Heroes III gameplaywise, and campaignwise my top choice.

I don't know where people who've never played the game get this idea from that it's a mediocre disappointment, it really is quite excellent. Heroes V is not as good as IV, and I suspect that trend will carry over into Heroes VI ...

On-topic though, gog does make very nice artwork for the games. You can see the game pages too, they're very polished and thorough. Which is good, it helps push more impulse-type purchases when stuff "just looks good".

In any discussion about Heroes games, the vast majority hates Heroes 4 with passion. Anyone searching for info can easily draw conclusion "if majority hates Heroes 4, then it must suck".

Heh, I actually don't know if I should hate or love it: I mean, I love the ideas, I hate the design, I love the writing, I hate the difficulty (no, I'm not really a TBS player and previous heroes games vere actually quite accessible.)
