Actually, I'd argue that it was a much less flawed game than the first. At worst, Far Cry 2 can err on the side of boring. The entire second half of Far Cry 1 erred on the side of "I desperately want you to stop playing, so I'm going to frustrate you through endlessly unfair trial-and-error until you do."

Well... I wasn't frustrated playing the first. The second one is just... It doesn't have any immersion. At least, I couldn't get into it.

I Kind of agree - whilst the environments in 2 were awesome, the play really felt lacklustre and repetetive - particularly the endless driving about and shooting doen the same npc unit types over and over.
I love them both. I could live without the malaria and gun jams in FC2 though.
