TheCheese33: Harmonix is selling their game using advertising talent. Neversoft is selling their game using tits.
PoSSeSSeDCoW: Incorrect. Harmonix is selling their game by saying OMG EVERYONE WE HAVE THE BEATLES! YOU BUY IT NOW! Neversoft is selling their game using tits. Yeah, I suppose you're right about that.
I just realized that most of you probably have not seen the Kurt Kobain Guitar Hero 5 trailer, so you have no idea how goddamn creepy it is. Here, I'll post a link:

They should have a cross-dressing alternate costume. LOL. That always used to piss off my parents.
The only thing that's wrong is they didn't get his fretting right. He had really long fingers and played sloppy. He'd fret with his thumb, too.

I thought it was odd how they didn't render a guitar strap, so basically he was holding his guitar up by the neck.

Rock Band 5 has Rammstein tho. This means I have to buy it, even if it is Du hast.
And Shirley Manson is in it.

I don't think it's disrespectful because he's dead, I think it's disrespectful because he would 100% surely hate being in the game and never do it if he were still alive.
Also, the man obviously had mental issues, so seeing him "rocking out" on stage in polygonal rendering is just... I don't know... sad.
I hope they remove it.

Not gonna happen. It's very close to release, and they probably paid Courtney Love top dollar to throw him in there.
And I agree 100%. It's not that he's dead, it's that he would never say yes to this if he were alive.

EDIT: You know what, screw it, I'm not going to bother anymore with this because it's obviously something I'm not meant to understand, nor do I even really care about to begin with.

That doesn't even make any sort of sense when your entire existence as a popular musician IS merchandise. CD's, shirts, live performances, TV show performances (He did them).
But like I said, I don't listen to Nirvana, and never cared for Kurt Cobain to begin with, so I don't hold him in high regard like the majority of people here in the Pacific Northwest do.
What I do know is I will be buying Guitar Hero 5 and enjoy playing it because it's a fun game to play drums with. And I'm not going to let something like an artists ethos get in the way of me having fun.

I'm glad. I wish I could actually not care about it like many people do, but something about it bothers me in ways The Beatles: Rock Band and other dead celebrities in Guitar Hero 5 don't.

What makes Kobain special then? I don't remember him going on about money grubbing corporate evil too much, no more than any other muso who nevertheless bent over and took it for the sake of having his albums published.
Now if they made Standup Comedy Hero and had Bill Hicks as a character (especially as paid DLC), THEN I'd be sharing this level of outrage because he had a very definite stated opinion on matters of this nature

And why that is is what I really don't get. Jimi Hendrix has had his memory whored out AT LEAST as badly by his family (whom he had nothing to do with while still alive) as Capt. 12-Gauge has by his widow. There is no difference.

I am not the biggest Nivana fan, so someone else might want to clarify it, but as I understand it he hated the fact he became merchandise, became MTV, and that was one of the reasons he killed himself... to stop that from continuing, and out of depression he already allowed it to happen.
