Weclock: They declined system shock 2 because they hate you.

SoanoS: I'd also wager some games were rejected because of being "bad taste" or unsuitable, like sex games and titles like "porntris".
I've discussed this with them, if there was demand for it on the wishlist they would gladly sell a game like that.

Not depending how many voites it has?

Tantrix: I just hope PoP: WW does make it here on GoG and not getting refused.

I semi-seriously added that game to the list a couple of days ago. Five votes now.

I already voted (I know it still has 154 votes only 8P ), but I dunno if it gets on GoG or not.
That wishlist is pointless!

bansama: While GOG have declined to release some games, I doubt it was anything to do with them not being "good". After all, "good" is just as subjective as "old". It is more likely that games that have been refused are refused due to technical reasons or for contractual reasons.

Wishbone: Yes, sorry. I should have clarified that I only meant they have turned down some games. I didn't intend to include any assumptions as to why they did.

IIRC, the only specifically referenced example said that they declined a game because what the IP holder offered was not worth the price point they demanded. From the impression I got, it was a combination of the game(s) not being highly sought after and the IP holder not offering enough in the way of extras to make up for that. GOG would have had no problem selling it at the lower price point, but the IP holder wanted the higher one.

Already own it :) http://www.mike65.ukfsn.org/main/uploads/files/DSCF4278.JPG
To be honest its one of those games you have to own in the box, lovely artwork and physical manual.
I am sure GOG has refused games because GOG felt they would not sell.
GOG is a business, folks. If they don't make money they don't stay around.
There was quite a mini fuss when GOG released the Postal games. I think the Postal games are lousy games (not becuse of moral issues but because the gameplay in both is rotten, it's fun playing a homicidal maniac for about ten minutes then it becomes boring due to the mind numbing repeatative gameplay ,the Posatal games really have nothing to offer but the controversy) but I am not going to raise a fuss because GOG things there is a market for them.

Probably not.
I don't know what happened with System Shock 2, they probably couldn't get the current IP owner to co-operate or haven't gotten around it yet.

I have it, too, but alas, the box has gone missing. :(
I also have a copy as a part of a games compilation.

That was why I was surprised to see Sniper Elite on here because it's
a) a little known game
b) a console port
c) not that great
d) $9.99
e) barely any extras
