I upvoted for the same reason. But now I checked the link to the ghost recon thread Vestin put up and let me say, kinda fishy...

I checked it, and it did seem a tad fishy, and I wouldn't get pissed if people downvoted the whole thing, but I feel like people have been a bit more hostile to this guy than could be justified. I saw the whole thing about everyone getting angry about him asking for freebies, which is understandable, but they kept pushing it.
Following him around and downvoting him whenever they see a thread with his name in it is a bit much, maybe more than a little in the "get a life" category.

If the linked thread is really him scamming himself points, wakalo or not, I would almost be inclined to say that the hostile behavior is encouraging it.
If it really is the wakalo character suddenly deciding to go somewhat legit, maybe he had to figure out why people weren't too happy with him stealing their stuff so he could get things the fair way (some people have trouble understanding that).

If it really is just some kid that's honestly excited about the website but isn't very good at making introductions; then come on, really?

I agree. If they're really that mad the best thing to do is just avoid him from now on, if the worst case scenario happens people will be onto him in no time. No need to start a crusade now.
