Because we like you so, we have a gift for you.

A while back, we started to sell EA games--great classics such as Wing Commander, Privateer, and Alpha Centauri. A few people--just a few!--noted that we didn't have the expansions and that made them sad panda.

Well, panda, be sad no more! As a holiday gift from us to you, we're bringing everyone who bought (or buys in the future!) the expansions for Wing Commander 1 + 2, Wing Commander Privateer, and Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri for you today! These expansions are free updates, so just download the new installers for each game from your account and start playing now! Note that these EA games will not be part of any Daily Deal bundle, so go ahead and pick them up now for only $2.99 each.

The expansions are:
Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri--Sid Meier's Alien Crossfire.
Sid Meier's Alien Crossfire brings you seven new factions (two that are non-human), new technologies, new facilities, new secret projects, new alien life forms, new unit special abilities, new victory conditions (including the new "Progenitor Victory") and several additional concepts and strategies, making it a "must-have" expansion for the award-winning game.

Wing Commander 1 + 2--Wing Commander: The Secret Missions, Wing Commander: The Secret Missions 2 Crusade, Wing Commander II: Special Operations 1, Wing Commander II: Special Operations 2.
The Wing Commander expansions bring new missions, new ships, a new storyline, and an increase in difficulty in The Secret Missions, and in Secret Missions 2: Crusade, we see a whole new alien race, a new challenge, and a mysterious defection all raising the stakes of both the game's storytelling and its combat. In Wing Commander II: Special Operations 1 we see a layered web of deceit, lies, betrayal, and action all bringing that trademarked Wing Commander cinematic feel, while Special Operations 2 sees the player ambushed while escorting a traitor, and soon the player (as Col. Blair) will find himself undertaking one of his most dangerous missions of all: an undercover one infiltrating the very traitors he was escorting in the first place!

Wing Commander Privateer--Privateer Righteous Fire.
Finally, in Righteous Fire the player squares off against a crazy fundamentalist sect called the Retros as the open-ended space sim world's story continues with more action, ships, and missions to keep player occupied for hours.

A special thanks goes out to Paul Barnett and Jeff Skalski at Mythic (@MythicNews) for their help getting these add-ons secured (finally!) and available to you. :)
Awesome!! I hope Deeper Dungeons from Dungeon Keeper makes it into GOG someday, I missed that content :P

Anyway, obtaining these kind of things for free is awesome!
Thank you so much for working to make Alien Crossfire available. It is an amazing expansion that deserves to be played. The fact that you provide this kind of massive update without any kind of charge just reaffirms my opinion that you all are the very best DD option for PC games.

ng: My guess is the best time to get Alpha Centauri is now! Nice job to complete it! Thank you!
I got it. 50% discount while getting more is actually really good.
Thank you GOG. You are the best of what happend for last few years in the Internet.
Don't own or have any intention of owning these games but as someone with OCD about DLCs and expansions this is great. Keep up the work, GOG!
Right on! Guys, you deserve a medal!

Looking forward for Deeper Dungeon and Reunion.
Many thanks to all at the GoG team.

This is just one more reason I will keep promoting your service at any chance I get and to any that will listen!

Seriously impressed. Keep up the good work! Now I'm off to play Crossfire.

Are you playing Jagged Alliance remake Crossfire? I bought that recently and I'm interested in your first impressions. Can you share your thoughts? Thanks a lot!!

He's referring to Alien Crossfire, the (awesome) expansion pack to Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri. I think.
I am a bit late with my thanks to GOG for this. This is why GOG is the best online retailer there is, they care, it's as simple as that.

Thank you so much for doing this! Especially glad in the case of Alpha Centauri, which I will now be very happy to play again. Now all we need is a sequel. :-)
Thank you for the Wing Commander additions!
This is quite cool to me. 14 pages of people, many of whom it seems hardly ever post, taking time to say thanks for bringing these good old expansions.
I am forgetting now if I posted thanks here or not. Hopefully I already did but just in case, this easily deserves thanks x 2.

Thanks GOG for going the extra mile and delivering such good service and value on this. :D

Looking at the Mac installers for Wing Commander 1 + 2 plus Privateer I note they are still version 1.0. I get the impression the Mac versions of the updated games did not get the expansion content? Is that going to be fixed sometime in the near future?
