PenutBrittle: *Yes, King's Bounty was 75% off once. There may be other exceptions, but they are rare.

Randalator: The Telltale Promo recently offered an 80% discount, but you're right, 60% is the standard maximum discount...
Pretty soon you can get the Kings Bounty the Legend + Armoured Princess + Crossworlds for what The Legend would be here at 60% probably.

Big_McLargeHuge: Only 50% huh? That's weird. Usually Holiday sales are the most heavily discounted. Does GOG do Cyber monday? Is that even a thing anymore? lol. I noticed a while back they did a D&D 65% off sale so i guess they can sometimes go above 60%.
The thing about GOG's promo is that it's an even discount over almost the entire catalog. Other sales I've seen will have certain titles at 75% off, while others go 75% off for a limited time before going back to a standard discount of 30% off, and most others stay in the 40-50% off range. It's a little different, but what's nice about GOG's promo (to me, anyway) is that you don't have a limited window of opportunity to get the best deal. You also get a much broader selection. This may not be the best setup for ultimate bargain hunters out there, but I rather like it.

Heretic777: GOG should consider doing daily deals for 75% off during the Xmas sales. I would probably buy a few games that i normally wouldn't.
Uh, check the date of my comment? This was well before the 80% off sales.
guys, most of the games on GOG cost 10 dollars without sale... do you really need more than 50 % off of the whole catalogue? are you that poor? :D

I understand when steam does a 75 % sale on something that normally costs 40 dollars, but here? games aren't pencils, they should retain SOME value ;)

Big_McLargeHuge: So it being my first real week since i actually started using GOG, i'd like to know something. How are the holiday/Christmas sales? Are they worth waiting/saving up for, or should i buy anything that i want that goes on sale for 60% off? Do they usually have sales on a majority of their catalog or only a small fraction? How have the last holiday sales been? Mainly thinking if i should spend money on the Ubisoft sale or save it up for a big(?) holiday sale. Thanks :).
Woah OP! I've been wanting to know this too, about the GOG sale this year, since they had one last year, but was too wary to open a new thread, just for it. Tried asking about it in other places, but got somewhat canned.
I would say it's hard to tell. GOG tries a lot of new things this year. In the case of Christmas sale, the most significant would be that they stopped seeing 60% as a sale limit. Maybe they will keep their MO from the last year, maybe not.

I would rather see a big wave of new games here :P.

30% - 50% sales are good enough for me. Too much off, may be kind of overboard to ask. What I would like, is for the whole catalog to be discounted, so I could pick what I want, instead of waiting or looking out for other sales throughout the year.

This is just my opinion, of course.
