Does anybody know how well GOG is doing? Are they raking in the cash? Making a decent profit? Just breaking water or are they losing cash daily? I'm not looking for exact numbers, was just casually wondering if anybody knew.

Mostly I'm wondering due to the forum here. While I love GOG, the forum is a bit... simple, IMO (no offense to the GOG staff who maintain it). I'm thinking perhaps the reason GOG doesn't do more with the forum is because they can't afford expensive web designers and new software. There have been requests for forum features that are never implemented, and I'm guessing the only reason they aren't is due to budget constraints.

Thoughts?

They keep posting new job openings. Last one was looking for web developers as well. Let me see if it's still up.

Edit: Yeap, Work for Us page, on the bottom of every forum page.

A Gorillion Dollars

On a more serious note, I don't believe that GOG publishes it's profits however it has let people know often in presentations and conferences that it's userbase and game download numbers are increasing so I would assume they are doing pretty good
I think the CDP conference that was in Polish from around March mentioned how much they made (IIRC CDP itself had a profit of $12 million?) so I think they're doing alright.
Considering they're still around after almost 5 years of operation, they're probably making ends meet.

To be fair, all companies HAVE to say they're doing well, whether they are or aren't.

EDIT

Access to a generous health care and sport activities package.

Sport Activities? Does that mean their office is on the 19th floor of a building with no elevator?

here you are:
http://www.cdprojekt.com/resources/document/prezentacje/Wyniki_1_kwartal_2013.pdf

In a nutshell: they are ok. Their income in Q1/2013 was 12 M PLN (5.5 in Q1/2012)

AFAIK at the beginning of 2012 they payed dividend in amount 1M EUR to CDP (guess it was from net profit from 2011-)

Either that or someone owns dogs - big, hungry dogs that are let loose to hunt down slower (and therefore less productive) members of staff once a month.
Evidently its whoever last had the currently open positions!
