So I just bought Divinity: Original Sin and got some $5.99 gift codes.

(Incidentally, if anyone wants to know the regional pricing for GBP £, you get 2 x $5.99 codes for OS and the DLC each.)

Does anyone know if I were to wait for a sale, could I redeem one code for multiple games to a value of $5.99, or is it only redeemable for one game?

Depends on how many 5.99 codes you have?

Only 1 game with base price $5.99 or less.

edit: but you can wait for GOG wallet. ;)

so just to be clear: four $5.99 codes in total?

you can only use them based on the normal, non-sale price and they can't be combined

MaGog is awesome for searching by price, much better than GOG's own filters:

So, even if a game was reduced in price in a sale from $9.99 to $5.99, I wouldn't be able to use a $5.99 code on it?

no sadly. It may change in future - people mentioned 'GOG wallet' elsewhere on the forum, I don't know if it's a real thing confirmed as coming or wishful thinking?

From this March GOG news post:
For now it will be with $5.99 and $9.99 game codes. In a couple of months, once we have such functionality implemented, we will give you store credit instead, which then you will be able to use towards any purchase and cover the price of it in full or partially.
So it seems that something close to Steam wallet may be planned for soon. If they're going to go through the trouble of implementing some kind of functionality to keep track of partial credit I'm guessing they'll let anybody purchase credit, but it doesn't seem they've said much else yet. :)

Great news! In that case, I'll keep the codes and hope! :)
