Details of PSU

Will it be okay powering these parts?

What kind of budget are you dealing with? I know some Rosewill PSUs can be okay, but I personally wouldn't trust this, as I can't seem to find a review on that particular one and 60 bucks for a case and PSU? Well, I think you can draw your own conclusions as to whether or not that PSU is good quality.

If it's within your budget, I'd suggest grabbing that deal and buying a good quality PSU to power that rig and swap that Rosewill one out.
I have no particular opinion on Rosewill but I will reiterate what I've said here before:

There is one component in your PC that touches every other component: the power supply.

Based on that fact, would you agree that the power supply is NOT the place to go cheap?

Bingo.

It's the mistake many people make when building rigs: cheaping out on the PSU, which is arguably the single most important component in the system.

I completely agree.

However, as said, how is this one in particular? The details are all there. Since I am just coming into the whole PC thing, I have no technical knowledge. However I've provided the technical details of the PSU for someone brighter than me to interpret.

It seems to have surge protection, and they wouldn't also provide a video card in with the bundle if the power supply was no good for it. Now forget that it's cheap, and that you can't find a review for it. Look at the details instead, if you can interpret them.

I say forget that one, find one that isn't cheap and has a professional review.

I would go with a stand alone power supply. I've had bad luck with ones that were included with cases, and they are inadequate for any serious parts you may be adding.

I picked up a Corsair AX850 for around $170 and it's been great, especially with the modular cable design. Of course, you are paying for quite a bit for a PSU, but considering that it's powering every piece of hardware in your rig, I wouldn't go for the lowest bidder on that one.

This is why I go with Silverstone every time, it costs more, but you get what you pay for. I'm not knocking Rosewill either. You might want to go over and post a question to Elric Ferris over at motherboards.org (YouTube page) he is a major supporter.

Thing is, without reviews that have actually tested the power supply, there's no way to judge just from the spec sheet.

As well, specs for that video card say it requires a minimum 20 amps on the 12 volt rail. That PSU delivers only 20 amps on the 12 volt rails. Too close for my comfort.

I disagree. It has surge protection meaning it won't blow up other parts (other than itself) and while minimum is less than satisfactory, I don't see why that's a problem.
Why does the fact that it lacks a review even matter even saying it is a problem?

Because ideally you want to know if someone else has used one and if they were happy or not with it.

Dude, buy it if you want. I'm just telling you I wouldn't. I've not heard anything good about Rosewill power supplies, so unless I found some reviews that showed this thing being tested and put through its paces, I wouldn't touch it. The PSU is, as I noted, arguably one of the - if not the - most important components of your rig. I don't trust my rigs to anything other than a quality, reviewed, and tested unit.

Totally agree with you, why use yourself as a guinea pig, and risk frying your system. When it comes to power supplies, I will always go for something *proven*. Def one component you don't wanna go cheap, or be the "tester".
