I only just realised that Serious Same 2 and Serious Sam: The Second Encounter are different games!

Is there any reason to play the 'classic' versions over the HD remakes? i.e. Do the HD remakes play as well?

they play just as well, but somehow I prefer the graphics of the classic release. But that's probably just me.

And I prefer the HD remakes. For gameplay, there is not really much difference at all.
