I liked Starcraft 1, and was only a little interested in Starcraft 2, bordering on not getting the game because I didn't care much for it.
This video has changed my mind.

Thats the video that has changed my mind also, I think getting at least the first game will be more then worth it just for user made maps that come from it. I actually want to give the map editor a go to make a proper fps/rpg.
Oh my god. That's fucking amazing.
It shifts again from "might buy it" to "buying at release". Wow. That's amazing.
...
I'm convinced. Seriously. That was fucking awesome!
OMFG wow tht is unreal think i am going to change my mind and get this as well. Starcraft 2 is not so much a game but a game making tool that is really impresive.
That..... is freakin' insane. It really is.
I don't give a damn about SC II (they 'episodic' release pisses me off), but I want that editor to play with.
I must admit, that looks incredible. Once the community gets their hands on that, you haven't bought a game, you've bought 50+ games with countless variations.
They're going to be selling user-made premium maps. :P

The editor video illustrates why that's a good thing. The need to go independent for something like Heroes of Newerth, Demigod, Defense Grid: The Awakening, etc. is lessened. So instead of selling a full game for 20/30 bucks, you could just put practically the same thing together in the SC2 editor, and sell it for 5$ or so.
I will buy this and Diablo 3 from the start.

That actually makes it sound like Blizzard get ultimate say in whos maps they will sell. For instance you make a kickass map, want to distribute it for free and Blizzard then force you to sell it for a small cost and give you a percentage of sales.
Still not interested but that is one sexy SDK.

I guess the opposite. They cannot really stop you from releasing your own map.
I'm getting it with even more reason now. None of the things people are complaining about really affect me. Terran is my favorite race, I don't play on LAN and I'm on DSL so connecting online to play single player will be unnoticeable to me (still, if there's an off switch to that, I'll turn it off) and now they're showing off an incredible editor. Makes me wonder if i could end up creating a superhero game with that.

More like they'll encourage you to work even harder. After all, they get a piece of the cake. :D
And yeah, LAN or no LAN, three games or one. 60 euros or less. I don't care. :D I am getting the game on day 1, I know Blizzard won't disappoint us with SC2.
