Yeah the series is about this female mage and she rides a giant dog, she hunts for another mage who is also a thief, who travels with a swordsman and some girl thats half demon.

They were pretty good books but only read a couple a few years back and for the life of me I cant remember the names to look for the sequels. I think it was a female author....

It's pretty interesting how our brains function. When you focus on reminding something, the area of the brain you are supposed to be looking in is "blocked", and you can't remember at all.

As soon as you post on a forum and let the "others" look for you, that part of the brain is "released" and you suddenly remember. I had similar situations countless times.
