Many Gog games have rar files or/and folders named

"soundtrack"
"Avatars"
"Artwork"
"Wallpapers"

Under a Killing Moon even has a rar file named "TexExpert" which I can't understand it's use
and Sacrifice has a rar file named "sacrifice_map_collection".

Are such files important in order to install and properly play the game or the entire game (music & all) are in the main setup, so I can erase the rest?

Those are extras and you don't need them to play the game.

For example, the sacrifice_map_collection is a pack of multiplayer maps that have nothing to do with the single-player game.
Quite easy :)

TexExpert has been answered here: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/tex_murphy_series/texexpert

And the Sacrifice_map_collection is an Additional Map Pack for Sacrifice... all those extras are not needed to play the game, but can be entertaining
So the entire game including it's once audio music is in the setup main file?

Therefore "soundtrack" folders are not needed either. Or are they?

I think you are the JGOGDownloader, do you?
All those additional archives are extras (like Avatars, Ringtones, ...). Those are not needed to run the game.

Personally, I love to take the soundtracks with my on my MP3 Player... really relaxing to listen to the Neverwinter Nights Soundtrack on my way back home from work :)
Sorry what's a JGOGDownloader?

Thanks for the info.
Oh, sorry I just thought that you have downloaded it all in one go :)

The JGOGDownloader is a community tool for easier downloading of the bought games (with all extras):

Jwrath, to play the game you only need the installer. All those others are extras, which mean that you don't need to download them in order to play the game.
No, I have only a few Gog games, the ones I loved to play. Not all of them are my favorites.

I just asked because I don't want to accidentally erase a file or folder which is needed in order to play the game.
I have set up a little example, only the red marked files are needed to run a game :)
