It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

I have been trying to download this for two days using the GOG downloader, but it seems unable to get beyond 730 megs, When it reches this point it goes back to around 699,then continues to download until it reaches 730,then repeats.
I tried downloading another one of GOG games, and iI had no problem,so I suspect the problem is specific to American Conquest. And of course the whole GOG crew is out the door for the weekend, so I suspect that nothing will be done until MOnday.
ANybody else have this problem?

Yes, I did email a support request, but I have found that at times bithcing about it on the forum brings a quicker response from GOG.....

Give this a quick read.
THanks.
SInce downloaded by browser is not really an option because of the size of the download,I guess I will have to wait until GOG fixes the game for the downloader.
May I ask why it isn't an option? I've downloaded everything I've used so far through browser. I use this site with Firefox and download with IE since I hate the download cache thing firefox uses.

It simply take too long with my Internet connection. I don't have two to three hours to spend sitting on my computer to monotor it with the knowledge that if anything goes long I have to start over again . That is why they have a GOG downloader..for interrupted downloads.

It takes about the same time for me actually. Most of the time you don't have to worry about interruptions unless your router/modem is prone to cut-offs or your computer likes to overheat and turn off. Just run it when you go to bed or something or next time you have to leave the house.

Download managers like Downthemall! should allow you to resume interrupted downloads.

This, I use this to download the extras because for some reason GOG won't add support for these to the downloader.
Not with GOG. This has been discussed, and GOG blocks renenwals of downloads using downloaders.
I got a email from GOG, and indeed there was a problem with the excutable file which has been correceted.but you have to remove the game from your list, delete whatever files you have downloaded if you are downloaded to the same locations and add it again.

... that's interesting because it works fine for me. Even now.

No they don't, your downloader just has to resume using the original download link, not the one it redirects to (which expires).
