It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Someone posted this on my Facebook page, and I clicked on it, and it brought me to YuoTube (that's how they spelled it). I'M SCARED.

Paradoks: Personally I would recommend Malwarebytes. It's one of the better anti-malware programs in my experience.

I've always found that Malwarebytes is more helpful for rouge ware and highly infected cookies.

TheCheese33: I tried System Restore, but it didn't work! Said something was blocking it! CHRIST!

See if you can run it safe mode.
For what it's worth, that particular phishing site should be out of business now. Though no doubt, another fifty are out there.

That's one less though. =)

That happened to my sister once. I couldn't do anything not even task manager and it got really bad. i fixed it by formatting her hdd.
I am installing Avast! now. Is the paid upgrade worth it? Maybe I'll upgrade later...

The problem with getting rid of these sites is it's like playing whack-a-mole. Plenty of hosting sites will offer free trials and you get as many of them as you have e-mail addresses. They only need to be active for up to a week to cause real damage. The moral of the story is never download an exe unless you trust the source.

Sounds like ransomware, they disassociate the exe extension. Check this site for instructions on how to open task manager for future use. The files he provides "reassociates" the extension. He has a Vista page somewhere . . .=)

I'm debating that myself, I've run the free one for at least the last 5 years on various computers.
The only annoying thing is the huge ad box it throws up when it updates, but that's easy to close and I consider it a fair deal so far.

Avast is damn good, but I would first worry about fixing the virus before buying Avast.

Yeah, I just realized entering my credit card number probably isn't the smartest thing I can do while this little shit is running rampant.

Thanks for the link. I kinda wanted to erase all her stuff anyway.

Good luck. Now to get some Chickfila or however you spell it.
Also, did you manage to remove the virus yet?
If not:
Run either of these online virus scans (or all of them in turn if you wish and have the time). If you're unlucky, the virus may intercept the Avira install and then it won't do you any good.

Avast is good (and it has a free version). There was one case however that it (along with SpyBot) couldn't handle. But that was just one accident, other than that it is pretty reliable.
