I was watching "Shane" last week for this History assignment (History and Film). I'm sure some of you may have seen it before, but for those who haven't, it's basically a cowboy flick about this lone gunman with a mysterious past called Shane, who saves the day. IMO the show isn't very remarkable, and in fact, is literally quite gay, but the main villain - Wilson - is quite frankly one of the most haunting villains I've seen since Heath Ledger's Joker.
He's different from your typical on-screen villain - he has a sense of mystique, an arrogant smirk, and a very...well, distinct style of walking, and he definitely deserves to be mentioned in any discussion involving villains. I can't help but think how fantastic the actor's (Jack Palance) portrayal of this creepy dude is. He's so good because he is distinctly the BAD GUY (it's all over his face), but there's just this calm, coolness that makes him difficult to not feel a sense of admiration for.
You guys have to see this.

Whats he got on his boots, spurs or jingle bells?
Don't know, but I need to get those boots for the next Halloween party.
how is shane gay? It's one of the all time classic westerns.
Fun fact, Jack Palance's entrance was supposed to be him galloping into town, but since he couldn't ride, he had to just canter in slowly... which actually ended up being much more intimidating.

I found the relationship between Joey and Shane a bit too dramatic for my tastes, especially the way Joey talks.
"Shaaaane! I'm sorrrrieee!"
I also didn't like how the show's emphasis seemed to be more on the townsfolk and less on Shane. The pacing wasn't very consistent. Most of the time, I seemed to be paying more attention to Joe Starrett's angst against Ryker than to Shane. The first 30 minutes of Shane's appearance as a lone vigilante was cool. After that the focus on him was lost, until the last 20 minutes.
