TheCheese33: The Borg was always the crappiest part about Star Trek...

Cliftor: Ah NAW you DIDN"T! Borg are like the most fun villain of all time. They're relentless monotonous menace is the perfect villain for the modern age! That or corporate thugs, those are popular and relevant too.

Yup, especailly since the wonderfully directed (BY Jonathan Frakes no less!) First Contact is easily the best Trek movie of all time.

michaelleung: This is an excellent example of the average Steam user's IQ.

It may have been lacking in follow-up, but otherwise that was some quality trolling.

If you're serious, I'm pretty much 100% sure that that thread is just a really good troll thread. The people aren't stupid, they're just a bunch of trolls trolling trolls trolling trolls who wish they were as cool as /b/.
Some guy magically got JK working.
Yeah I can't prove it or anything, but I'm still positive that steam thread was a joke

I got JK working by following this advice....

It's a nvidia card fix though. If you have a nvidia card this fixes most problems. Just follow the directions correctly. It takes 2 minutes to do this, so no reason not to give it a shot.

Except I've missed something, the guy turns off 3D acceleration, so... what's the point?
I mean, the majority of problems I have with this game come from turning on 3D accel. Without it, I can play the game, but only in a very low resolution, and the game playing slowly when there are many 3D objects in screen.
If this 'fix' is nothing more than that, I could make an easiest tutorial:
- Turn off 3D acceleration
I had hope during 1 minute :p

Turning off 3d accelration did not work for me and it doesn't work for everyone. If it doesn't work then, with a nvidia, this fix is your next best bet.
Plus this fix allows you to play with 3d acceleartion on. I can play JK with 1680x1050 resolution.
