I feel the need to go and smack my head against a wall.
"Its fine to shoot folk with a shotgun kids, they only fall down, its not like there's any serious damage or bits would fly off."
Even the first L4D wasn't that watered down. Was it?
OFLC has already granted the modified version a MA15+ rating
Contains: Strong bloody violence.
(I like their use of the word bloody, dual meanings and all :D)
And yes everyone, Australia is one of the worst countries for this kinda stuff.
Completely without any decent founding, a number of sites have suggested that it will be updated restriction free after release.
I'm waiting for something official, rather web rumours, but it would be a way to get around the lack of our R18.

With the current exchange rate and factoring in postage, buying it from america would probably be cheaper and get you the full version
We're at 1AU to 0.9USD right now, I've already started to order stuff from overseas again.
Just hope that non Australian versions can be activated in Australia. No reason why they shouldn't, and they are not required to, but I'd check if others were able first before dropping any cash on it if you're after the game.
Well I'm certainly not, the demo of L4D1 turned me right off the series but I am contemplating some overseas orders of other things. Hell I could get OFP2 for $45 as opposed to $90+
Sure I can't have a hope of playing it on my shit laptop but at that price its actually still tempting. Eh it'll be cheap as hell by the time I afford a new gaming rig anyway
Wel... sorry for you, australian players, that sucks =(
This is worse than if they didn't release it. As it severely reduces the chances of you guys getting a legitimate version.
Even if there was a dismemberment patch it would probably be overwritten by Steam with the crappy Australian content.
