I understand that a company cannot sell something they do not have legal agreement with the parent company to sell, but I have a girlfriend who is tempted by GoG but refuses to buy anything until she sees something that states that the companies on GoG.com have agreed to it. Are there any links to info that shows the different companies agreements with GoG? Spent a couple of hours now and her moaning is driving me insane. :P

gog is a well-known company selling games from EA, Ubisoft, you name it, for about 4 years now. If they didn't have agreements for games like, say, prince of persia: sands of time or far cry, do your really think they would keep going without a LOT of lawsuits?

Dunno if this helps any, but here's the official Legend of Grimrock homepage, and it has a link to GOG.
The fact that the site is still operating should be prove enough. Wouldn't you think that maybe Ubi or EA would have done something by now?

Oh, and welcome to 2008!
Notch & Co. got sued for trying to use "Scrolls" as the name of a game. GOG would have been nose-deep in lawsuits by now if it wasn't legal.

Side note: If she needs this much proof just to purchase online, I feel sorry for what it's going to take just to kiss her (let alone go further). :)

Oh yes that should be enough proof, except it isnt for her, god knows why. Just trying to find some page that states it, or from GoG itself so she calms down about it. :P

hahaha - she is not the first - and I guess not the last - person that cannot belive such place exists in reality.
It is all perfectly legal. But to calm her - Google: EA joins GOG - see the amount of articles about it. How long would it take EA to shutdown GOG.com when their games would have been sold here illegaly?
EDIT:

Here is their page - you will find lot's of documents (unfortunatelly in polish)

GOG is not a no-name site. I guess unless you've never heard of it.... :p
Neither is CD Projekt RED, GOG's sister company.
You could probably find lots of articles if you do a search on either of them, and that should provide reasonable proof to your girlfriend.

This is the internet - just because a page states something doesn't necessarily mean it's true. Or she wants confirmation from the company itself that it's legitimate ?

Ok......

You could contact the IP holder(s) of any games your girlfriend is interested and try to get confirmation from them.

Otherwise save yourself the grief and break out the tiddlywinks..
I think this may answer your questions...

no offense to anyone, but i face-palmed hard at the OP. i can still hear the echo of the sound my hand made when it clashed with my forehead...

oh, and i can't believe anyone would actually consider answering the OP's question in a serious manner. no offense, but...

I can't say that I've seen such a page on ANY digital distribution site, but then I've also not looked. I really doubt that companies want to make their agreements / contracts open to the public...

check their forum posts for their first game off each publisher there'll be an accompanying announcement that they have signed up the publisher in question
