Hi! I'm looking for this old game I used to play. It came out around the same time as Knights and merchants I think or lords of the realm because it was a demo disc and the game I'm looking for and one of those.... I don't remember very much but you basically had units coming from castles with different factions or each town was a different factions. I remember there being ultra powerful ogres and one faction you started the game all set up with a pegasus and your town was right in the middle but right of a lake. Also there was no combat animation. If you brought a unit on to another it would give you a stat sheet looking like a scroll and tell you the loses. Extremely vague, I know, but i think it's an obscure game because it's not any of the famous ones like MoM, MOO, or AoW. Long shot but thanks if you have any ideas, I'll just search the pictures.

Hmm... Disciples : Sacred Lands fits some of what you're saying, but it's much older (made in 1994). We have the game here on GOG, so you might wanna take a look at it, see if that's it.

Warlords III:dark lords rising might be the game your looking for, it came out about the same time as Knights and Merchants.

Yes.. Warlords III Reign of Heroes and the expansion Dark Lords Rising had pegasus units and kinda fits the description, I don't remember ogres in it though. I remember instead some very strong knights :D

I only played the demo but I remember there were ogres, although they didn't really look like ogres, but they were greenish and had flails or maces I think.

Which reminds me... WHERE THE HELL ARE WARLORDS 1-4?!

Maybe Warlords 1? Playing the greens you'd begin with a pegasus and your starting castle was in the forest next to a river.

Yeah, but he said the castle should be in the middle of the lake, not next to the river and aforementioned Warlords 3 fits nicely. Check it out
