EDIT: The first game is currently in play
So while I was reading through Momo1991's increasingly epic giveaway celebration giveaway I had a quick idea for a forum game. Or I've inadvertently stolen someone else's game concept which admittedly, is a lot more likely..
It is sort of along the same lines of Mafia. Every contestant will receive part of a game code, some will get a valid part, others will get an invalid part. The only thing they know about the code is if their part is valid or not.
Everyone then has to both work together to get the correct parts of the code and against each other to be the first to figure out the correct ones.. and their correct order to win it.
So is anyone interested in testing out this game by playing the first one? If so, please post here with a list of games you'd be interested in winning so I can pick a common one (you're free to modify this list at any time).
Also, if anyone has any comments or suggestions, I'd appreciate them!
EDIT #1
The game to play for is Night of the Rabbit.
Players:
* Austrobogulator
* GabiMoro
* misfire200
* Momo1991
* nightrunner227
* Trid
* triock
The game itself is called "Dogma" and this means the only unchanging mechanic is that the players themselves can change the game. The initial rules will be:
* There is one code containing one game.
* Each player gets part of the code.
* Each player is told if their part of the code is valid or not when they receive it.
* Dogma is achieved at 75% agreement.
* All communication between players must be text.
Every one of these rules can be changed and they persist across games of Dogma (effectively making it one game). This means that the players can change the rules that not only affect themselves (possibly to give themselves an advantage or to progress a stalled game) but also affect subsequent rounds. There are also no limits to the rules that can be introduced[1] and they can be really specific.[2]
[1] Within reason. For example, you can all agree to have 10000 winning codes, but that isn't feasible for my wallet :P
[2] For example, in round #1, dogma could add, "In round #3, all players with names starting with A will get a valid part of the code."
