Randalator: Well, then those two people are wrong. Plain and simple. And your explanation isn't completely correct either.
Yeah, I'd rather blame me for not quoting them right or misunderstanding them. I don't think that a PR guy working for the USK or a German lawyer working for major European publishers doesn't have a perfect understanding of that topic (I'm quite sure that they didn't actually mention the Grenzschutz but this only came to my mind because the topic was importing banned games - also I probably mistook Liste B to some degree for games where court ordered a confiscation).

But still, my original point still stands: people often are asking for stuff that's already in place in Germany, both representatives of some initiatives and politicians yell stuff like "these violent games have to be prohibited!", obviously ignorant of the fact that Germany already has some of the strictest laws on this topic and a rating agency so strict that it has become infamous throughout the whole world, making it practically impossible for minors to legally obtain those games. They aren't aware that whenever kids get access to these games it's either through illegal means or because vendors or the parents screw up.
