It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

How fancy does this thing look? Hope the OS will be something more like windows and less like a dedicated device, imagine being able to play Fallout and then just turn the page when someone comes so it looks like you're doing work
Somehow I doubt it's going to use the explorer shell. Most probably using the NT kernel but that doesn't say much as both xboxes do that as well (and I'm not sure about zune), could be CE based instead though.
Remember a few years ago when Bill Gates said the tablet PC was the future and would eclipse desktops and laptops in terms of sales, popularity, etc.?
Yeah, it'll probably be like that.
the real make or break question is:
will it play GOGs well?

Hey at least SOMEONE's heading for the shiny sci-fi-verse, instead of being stuck in the boring old realworld.
I fully approve of this, as long as I'll still be able to get my fix of real laptop graphics chipsets and not being stuck with crappy intelstuffs. I'd have ordered a tablet, but getting one with dedicated video memory and a decent screen would've cost a pretty fortune, so I'll have to make do with a normal laptop for now (at least I found one with a trackpoint so I'm not stuck with that god-awful touchpad everyone uses).

The OS looks like HTC's TouchFlow interface for Windows Mobile. And the device itself looks decidedly gaming-unfriendly.
gaming or not, this is a sweet little device.
That was a concept animation thing rather than a live demo though, no idea what the actual thing will look like, for all we know that interface we saw was just a fancy version of outlook and the rest of the machine runs a tablet edition of win7
It does sort of remind me of the HTC touchflow, hopefully it won't run quite as slow...
Now THIS is what a "notebook computer" should be-a digital version of the dead tree notebook, only without all that clunky paper.
I'm intrigued, but it'll really take a lot for me to retire my current HP TC1100 Tablet PC, which I use for OneNote, the rest of MS Office (since it has a detachable hardware keyboard), Web browsing, e-mail, and since they had the sense to pack some dedicated graphics in it instead of that Intel GMA950 crap, Good Old Games!
I like. I'd certainly take it over anything Apple produce these days. If I had much of a use for it, that is.
Me likey. It looks like exactly what I want from a Tablet (note taking, writing in my diary, jotting down diagrams/math) in a form that would make it a damned fine ebook reader.
I doubt it would ever replace a desktop/laptop for coding and typing, but for 500 or so I would grab it. Or, if they show me some REAL videos, I might go a bit higher.
Assuming that it isn't a massive flop, I see myself being an early adopter.
