I am so proud! :D

The little sprogger (5 years) has been playing this game (Lego Lord of the Rings) an hour before bed for months now and he just came running through completely over the moon that he's finally finished it. I am so proud! :D

Congrats!
congrats :D
Just think that 30 years from now, on this very site, GOG will release Lego LOTR and he'll be reminiscing with the community of how he was so excited that it was the first game he finished.

May I suggest The Incredible Machine? It should be interesting to see how he deals with problem solving as well, though not sure of how difficult he'll find it.

Old school! Watching him play puzzle games like that is quite fascinating. Kids can be shockingly effective when it comes to that type of games.
Congrats to your son.

Early-mid 90s platformers are awesome for that. Try the Commander Keen games, the Cosmo games and Duke Nukem 1+2 . Also, give Dune 1 a shot, I loved that game when I was 6-7 , so it's probably not out of his reach.

I wouldn't say Dune was out of his reach at all. It's easy to control which really roles to a youngsters advantage. Though the game itself hasn't aged well, it was certainly great fun until C&C came out and made everything better!

Take it to the extreme 1989 and get a copy of Golden Axe! \m/

Dude... Dune 1 not 2.... Focus, will you ? :P

BTW, you should buy the Streets of Rage games from Gamersgate and play it together. You can use the same PC for it.
