Why do the GOG people always refer to their site by its abbreviated name?
Catchier. Plus it's the site's URL. So if people remember that then they'll know where to find the site.
Laziness. GOG is faster to write than Good Old Games.
It also can lead to things like this when you put the wrong web suffix.

Ahahahahaha!
Because they couldn't fit "Good Old Games" in the favicon.
Because everything is abreviated today:
KFC
LOL
ROFL
IMHO
D2D
DAO
ME2
EOB
... the list goes on
Becuz pepel kan't spel.

That's amazing, hahaha the guys face and the logo are hilarious!

...in the US. Abbreviating everything is a very US-american thing.
I'm pretty sure though, except for the americans, everyone does abbreviate GOG because that's how the staff calls it in the first place. Look at the logo.
