Okay, I'm atm downloading Kingpin, Unreal Tournament 2004, Duke Nukem 3D, and have taken an interest in Gorky17 and Arx Fatalis. I have around 20Bucks to spend (I can go over) and want to know...which of these games are good? I might buy 3 out of 5 if persuaded.
arx, ut2004...
and it's a toss-up between kingpin and duke3d

kingpins control scheme is weird...
How exactly are you downloading them at the moment, if you haven't actually bought them yet?

UT2004 is fun and worth it (I think I've purchased 2 versions already, and thinking about getting the GOG one as well), Duke3D I'd skip unless you're going for nostalgia (But bringing back those old memories was a blast). Arx Fatalis is good if you like that style of game. Don't know about Kingpin or Gorky, sorry.
Gorky had a bug that made the game run poorly or not at all. I'm not sure if they fixed that or released a workaround for it.
Duke3D is awesome. Kingpin not so much it is kind of wonky.
It can be a game recommendation other than these ones, as long as it has HIGH replay value/mods/ultra violent and it isn't Fallout or any Space game. How good is Arx Fatalis?
All good titles, but I'd vote Arx and UT2K4, for sure -- Arx is a great and innovative first person RPG and spiritual entry in the Ultima series..UT is arguably the best online shooter Epic's ever done (as is my understanding). :)
Gorky maybe -- try the demo to decide. As mentioned, there is a rather pesky problem with it. Can't comment on Kingpin but it does seem like a pretty good game, albeit with major flaws.

Yeah, I just read the Arx Fatalis review on gamespot, and it sounds amazing. demo first as always. =) AS for UT2004, I need to play with my mouse BEFORE I buy, because it runs perfectly yet aiming is a bitch with a mousepad.

What's wrong with Kingpin? I don't remember any problems with the controls.
