I must say I am not a fan of the new page layout for games. I just don't get the trend of putting your main content in a tiny column. What's wrong with a bit of width?

At the risk of sounding overly critical, I really think this change was a step backwards for the website design.
- More scrolling
- Even more unused whitespace
- Official description seems to flow into the user reviews, whereas before it was more obvious that they were separate, due to the width difference.
- gogmixes and "customers also bought" are displayed more prominently than the overview, and minimum system requirements

I really like gog and wish it the best of success. I criticise because I care, not because I hate.

Making a complete guess but I speculate that it helps to make the page look and run 'clean' on a wide variety of resolutions. Given the focus on old games, there are probably a fair number of customers running something like 1024x768 or even lower.
