With four games and a bunch of additional content for each one, today's release of Battle Isle Platinum is one of the largest in GOG's history.

Battle Isle Platinum covers a huge chunk of the acclaimed turn-based strategy/tactics series and consists of:
- Battle Isle 1 including Data Disk 1 & Battle Isle ‘93 & Historyline: 1914-1918,
- Battle Isle 2 including Scenery CD “Titan’s Legacy”,
- Battle Isle 3 along with extensive video sequences,
- Incubation and the wilderness missions.
That's easily enough to keep your inner strategist busy for weeks, or months if you work for a living!

So, what is this series about, you ask? It's about strategy and tactics at their very finest. It's about using the units at your disposal to the best of your ability in order to achieve specific goals, rather than building an impenetrable fortress, preparing a massive zerg and spamming your enemy with it, rinse, repeat. Lastly, but perhaps most importantly, the Battle Isle series is about a deep, involving storyline with a huge backstory, both in-game and in "feelies". The latter are, of course, available with our release in digital form.

Go ahead and see for yourself why this series achieved cult classic status.
OMG!!! Best release EVER

Aningan: Incubation was one of the games I really liked. So a few days ago I wanted to post it as my "wish" in one of the wishing topics. But then I made a search for it and there it was on Abandonia. I'm guessing it's not compatible with Win7 but I'm not sure it's worth to pay just for Win 7 compatibility. Especially since I run dual boot with Win XP and I know for a fact that I played Incubation on XP with no problem.

So maybe when it's on a deal or something. Otherwise no sense in paying for something you can get for free.

EDIT by GOG: Let's not share links to "not so legal" downloads, ok.

tburger: Wow this is first time I saw gog edited user post :-)
You know actually all games here (and everywhere else) you can get for free - quickly and without any effort. But that's not the point...
I don't think GOG.com is the best place to brag about how easy it is to get games for free...
Oh, holy f..! YEAH!:)
I once won Incubation, sadly, the postal service "lost" the package. Now, all i need is 10 bucks. [which is all i have on my bank account at the moment.]

My point exactly ;p
Definitly a great release. You really should show HistroyLine as a game itselft, because it's more than a Battle Isle expansion and more than worth to be counted as a game itself.

5 games which shows the progress of turn based strategy in one package, that's really really great.
I hope that i will see Battle Isle 4 one day here :(

Checked Mobygames, do you mean Battle Isle: The Andosia War from 2000? I don't know the game, but the description says it's a real-time strategy game.

Btw, did gog announced how many ubisoft packages will be released?

Edit: Also checked the cover box, it says: conflict simulation, turn-based, 3D, realtime. Sounds confusing but interesting ;-)

He/She just joined - I'm sure he/she will improve in time.
Incubation? I'd forgotten that awesome game! Sweet!

Acutally, I joined a year before you did, but in any case I didn't know that your number of post is an indication of just how smart you are.

Or are you just the local troll?
This is simply an amazing package... Historyline alone is worth it for any self-respecting TBS fan. BI3 was an amazing game too - I still play it regularly, and of course the original BI 1+2 were incredible for their time. Not sure how well they've aged, but I'll have to find out.

And Incubation - while being the odd man out here - is a brilliant Squad-based tactical game. Also worth this in and of itself!

I have most of these games and their original packages too, still I expect I'll be getting this package just for the convenience soon and because they are worth it. Cannot recommend this highly enough!

I think it was about Aningan
I don't recall ever playing/knowing about this game (the title sounds familiar, though), but Zeewolf's reaction (together with the fact I like strategy games) made me interested in it :-).
