I couldnt resist and heard a lot of positive hype on this pack, so I bought it but I wanted to ask which MoO is better first or second?

Well, according to the GOG announcement, the second installment is even better than the first.

GOG.com: It was the best, though, until Master of Orion 2 came along, anyway (die-hard fans of MoO1 may disagree, but we know better)!

Also, it seems to be "more of the good stuff".
