Yep... that's where I got mine. Got the key as soon as I refreshed the page! I'm super stoked about it, cause I've been wanting the game, and ALWAYS prefer GOG over others (though I have no qualms with other vendors)

I generally prefer Steam over GOG now that they cater Linux... but that's just me, personally. Cool gesture too when they offered all Valve games past and future free to Debian developers.

niniendowarrior: No... I thought "Just Kidding" would've sorted that one out. :D Thanks though!

Thistler: Ha ha man .. my return humour was lost even on me when I re-read it
No problem. :D

Oh, cool! I wasn't aware of that! I haven't been paying attention to gaming news. I don't use Linux, so that wouldn't sway me one way or another. I enjoy the ability to download files without a client and not have to worry about anything if I open it on another computer (that can cause some games to crash if you log into steam from another PC to download stuff), being as I have multiple computers (one to host Terraria and Starbound servers for the kiddo)

The funny thing about Steam on Linux is that a couple of their games there seem to be DRM-free. :D I know GOG has its own advantages. It's a neat service! :D

I work in Linux, Game in Windows and some linux. I wish I could totally switch to linux but it's not going to happen for a while. Because even though I love Linux... I love games more haha :P

I think Steam is doing the right thing with that market, for sure. It seems Linux users have been the neglected minority in gaming, yet that community keeps growing. I will give gift link for Natural Selection 2 to the first person ask for it in a reply to this "hidden" message. I'm curious on Linux and have considered it some, though I don't have a spare computer to run it on, nor do a parallel install with. How long've you been using it?

11 years now! Wow! :D Started with RH 7.3 I believe back in the university. I had a rough time adjusting to that, but all it took was some guts to leap into it. :D

I would like it if you don't mind. :D

Has Valve ever had to shut down servers for older games? I mean I know devs do that like EA would shutdown multiplayer servers for outdated games. I'm not sure I remember Valve ever doing that... and there's quite a few games that use Steam Play now.

Check your PM :)

As for Steam run servers for older games- I don't THINK I've encountered that, but in the back of my mind I feel like some server was shut down for another reason... Like with Star Wars Galaxies, when the Star Wars license expired, the servers were shut down (not run by steam, though)

Thanks a lot, Braussie!!!

Yeah, I'm starting to wonder about Valve's multiplayer servers since more and more games are using their service. Seems like those game servers could be around for a while!

Nope, never tried. I use my PC for work, Music Studio, and Gaming. Unfortunately, those all have required windows items to work properly so far, and I haven't felt like doing all the extra work to back everything up, and prepare for a restore if needed.

I think Oracle's Virtualbox as pretty good free VM, but strange things start to happen when I copy VM installs from one Ubuntu install to another. Never understood why.
