I've got a bit of problem here with my games, it's giving me quite the headache. For the last 3-4 days I've tried using the regular browser, the gog.com downloader, Flashget, and GetRight, but I keep getting messages that the source file is corrupted. I have wireless internet, but I tried connecting my laptop to the modem to see if it would help. I can't even download the smaller games (Beneath a steel sky, or Teenagent.) I sent an email to gog about it last night, but I wanted to see if there was anything else I could try.

Try using Free Download Manager.
www.freedownloadmanager.org
I am using this and it is really stable.
The other thing to check is to make sure your Harddrive or RAM isn't going out.

make sure you have no running antivirus or firewall programs, and make sure there isn't an issue with your internet service provider.
If none of the above works, you can always try implementing RFC-1149. :D
If I get a corrupted file I just put it into the download folder and load it in the GOG Downloader again, for me it fixed it in a matter of seconds...
Maybe I'm just lucky though, cause I never got a corrupted file from downloading, only from moving it around on different flashdrives.
Thanks for all the replies, I'm trying freedownloadmanager at the moment. I'll look into some of the other suggestions if this doesn't work.

What do you mean by this? 'cause I might try this first if freedownload manager doesn't work.

I haven't tried that (always works for me), but I suspect he means the following:
The GoG download downloads files to a specific directory. Basically, put the corrupt download in that directory, go back to your account page, and re-queue the game in the GoG downloader. It will see the existing file, and try to resume it. Resuming it will likely repair it.

I don't think I can do that, i put the file in the right folder and re-equed the game in the gog downloader, it shows the game but says it's done downloading.
Yeah does it work now then? It did that for me too and worked, may just have been an error on my first try when installing though, would be a good addition to their app if it doesn't do it.

i believe they're saying that's what should happen. did you try running the installer after that?
Have you tried a different browser?

That didn't do anything, I might try again though, it wouldn't hurt. Right now I'm trying it with firefox, if this doesn't work I'm gonna try it with my anti-virus off, whatever can help. I'm in no hurry. Thanks again for everybody's help.
What antivirus &/or firewall are you using? Some of them can really screw things up.
If you can run without it for a while its probably the most likely to succeed
SUCCESS!!
I used firefox to download the installer, which i then ran. About a quarter of the way through it stopped and gave me an error message, the file wasn't corrupted though. So I did what VirtualPenguin suggested about loading it with the gog downloader again and it finally worked! It only took 4 days :P
Thanks for all your help peeps!
