Grargar: While there are some discrepancies in your list (Wizardry 6, 7, 8 were released in 23 May and Project Eden was actually released on June), it is true that more pre-2008 games were released the previous year as opposed to this one. A difference of about +50% more games. (About 26 this year versus about 42 the previous one). Feel free to take a look at JMich's list your self and draw your own conclusions.
GOG Releases Ah, thanks for the link. Yeah, I wasn't too worried about getting each release exact, but it should be somewhat accurate.
There's no way around this fact, unfortunately; I believe even TET mentioned there would be fewer classic releases back in Nov '13. I wouldn't mind it if we could finally knock off some of the BIG classics from EA, Activision, Squeenix, etc., but ...
EDIT: You know what I'm betting? I'm guessing we'll actually see a big classic release tomorrow, and this thread will have people back thinking many people will be whining in the release thread, and they will preemptively parody those whines. "But but GOG doezn't relese classic games anymore!1!111" I'm calling it, and if I'm wrong ... well then I'll be wrong. ;-)
Either that or we get Tycoon City: New York. -_-
