If you are into substance over graphics, OOTP is the only baseball game worth owning. The level of customisation is insane, and I have burned more hours of my life than any other constructing baseball universes that develop in front of my eyes. I've been a player since OOTP2, and its well worth dipping your toe in the OOTP water with this release if you have any interest in baseball at all. Nip over to the OOTP boards for mods and roster sets, as well as online leagues.

Might give it a try.

Isn't that in the same series as one of the topmost rated games on Metacritic? Pretty impressive freebie.
