Is there a plan to create an open profile for users?
I wouldnt mind if my game list was visible to my friends.
I'm not talking about something fancy, like hours played and things like that, just a simple page with my games, something i would write about my self and stuff like that.
This has come up before. Most people seem to be fine with viewable shelves, provided it's opt in.
Ubivis set up a which allows you to make a profile. I extended the wiki and made a [url=http://www.gog.com/en/forum/general/gogwiki_gog_integration/post1]browser extension to allow you to embed your shelf and wishlist onto your profile page.

It would be great if GOG could have public shelves. Much simpler. Maybe allow you to group games into different shelves and a bin for games on your account that you don't want to appear on shelves.

Although this is long after this original thread started, I would back this idea. It would bring in interest if people could share what games they've bought on GOG. I would post it online at various places. I've decided, if it's not on GOG, I'm not playing it... No more DRM for me.

With a Facebook link for those that have Facebook ... Then we could befriend and utilize all the benefits of facebook as well; such as writing and posting on wall, messaging, Chat, email, posting pictures and game hints etc etc etc ... Would take quite a bit of bandwidth away from GOG and slide it *silently* over to Facebook ..
This was my main suggestion in the '500 games' survey, too. Just saying "Good Old Games" doesn't have the impact as displaying game boxes on a shelf that my friends have forgotten about.
