Do you live in Chicago? Will you be visiting Chicago soon? Well, if/when you do, check out a shop called People Play Games.

I just visited this place Friday for the first time. It was awesome.
They have enough xbox 360 and PS3 games to fill... maybe a shoebox... but you'll need a truck to buy out all the Atari 2600, SNES, Turbo GRFX, 3DO, etc... games in the inventory. Plus, if you have a PC with a 5 1/4 Floppy, there is a few shelves of classic PC titles.
Further they have handhelds... not DS... rather handhelds like that classic football game that used LED lights and 4 AA batteries... Those old miniature Pac Man games... as well as a ton of old console systems and joysticks and power gloves and... well, if it's old, it's there.
While there I saw The Hobbit in its original package, with the included paperback novel, on 5 1/4 inch floppy. It's a place where you might find a classic Nintendo rpg you've wanted for years. And I had no idea that Mad Dog McCree (that game blows, as I recall) was released on so many platforms.
You'll still need a Gamestop if you want the latest titles for consoles, but if you are looking for something that you thought might not exist anymore, they might have it.
Sadly, they did not have a copy of Syndicate for the PC, :-( , but it is still an amazing shop for any gaming enthusiast.
