rooshandark8: Though i can email the gift and they can forward it
As long you don't activate the gift on the email.
bansama: While that's probably true, there's the whole issue of trust. Not saying you would, but some people have been known to sell gifts like that to several people and then have yet another person reclaim it. Naturally everyone else who paid for that gift won't be able to reclaim it; nor will Valve or anyone else be able to help reclaim that money. And is it really worth the risk for the sake of saving $4?
Also if you're that desperate to get rid of your extra copy, you're probably better off just giving it to one of the many people asking for a copy on the Steam forums.
First of all to counter all that mess i always send the gift first and wait for the person to claim it *you can't reclaim a gift after its been activated" Than its up to the person to keep there part of the deal.
rooshandark8: What was your plan ? Were you gonna gift it to someone?
Miaghstir: Most probably a gift or prize in a future contest, certainly not getting someone to pay for it. The original reply was what Bansama quoted.
